Not Salt - Rik Van Colen

Not Salt

Man-made intervention and natural erosion has created a surreal landscape at the Delimara area in Malta.

This area looks so other worldly, one half expects alien life forms to appear, Captain Kirk or both, fighting or making sweet love.

A friend of mine kept calling this my salt pillar image. There is no salt in this photograph, it is eroded limestone. This dialogue inspired the title name Not Salt.

Even in this digital age, fine art printing is a special art, a master craft of its own.

I have partnered with a master printer. He crafts all my prints on the finest museum grade papers, using a carefully calibrated P-type Giclée printing process. This ensures that monochrome prints will last over 200 years without any fading at all. To guarantee maximum and pristine quality, all my prints are mounted on museum quality acid and lignin free matboards (passe- partout).
