Where I grew up.
When my old friends see a bloke with a tripod on the bridge, they know Rik is back for a visit. No matter how much I love Malta, home is always home. In this photograph, there's the church I rarely and reluctantly attended, a pub I was less reluctant to attend, the waters I loved to swim in and the road on which I broke my collar bone when I was 13… my home village, Sint-Joris-ten-Distel.
Was exhibited at the 50th National Photographic Exhibition from 4th December 2015 until 10th January 2016.

Even in this digital age, fine art printing is a special art, a master craft of its own.
I have partnered with a master printer. He crafts all my prints on the finest museum grade papers, using a carefully calibrated P-type Giclée printing process. This ensures that colour prints will last over 100 years without any fading at all. To guarantee maximum and pristine quality, all my prints are mounted on museum quality acid and lignin free matboards (passe- partout).
